The Nature Connection’s New Memory Cafe
Share your knowledge & learn from naturalist experts during hands-on explorations and activities with plants, natural materials and animals at The Nature Connection’s Memory Café for people living with dementia. Facilitated by Carol Hani, LICSW and nature enthusiast.
This Memory Cafe is a faciliated discussion group for people living with dementia and their care partners. We will meet on the first Friday of each month (excluding July 5th due to holiday) and explore a different nature topic. In June, we will discuss and engage in a sensory exploration of fossils together!
This event is free, registration required. Check out our events page to register for an upcoming cafe.
Nature Journal Nights
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month for a nature journaling night. We’ll gather at The Nature Connection from 6-7:30pm to take in the sights, sounds, and sensory experiences of nature, then record our thoughts and observations together. Every session, you’ll learn a new journaling technique and have the opportunity to share your writing with the group.
You can register for an upcoming Nature Journal night on our events page.
