Volunteer Training | The Nature Connection

The Nature Connection will hold three training sessions in Spring 2018 for individuals interested in helping to deliver our monthly nature-based therapeutic programs at partner sites.

Trainings are from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, to be held on the following dates:

Saturday, Feb. 24th
Saturday, April 21st
Saturday, June 16th

All trainings will be held at The Nature Connection: 40 Stow Street, The Umbrella Community Arts Center, Room 112, Concord, MA

Volunteers should have experience or interest in environmental education, psychology, social work, occupational therapy or the arts; or have worked with people with disabilities, youth, elders or animals.

We ask volunteers to make a year-long commitment, at least 2 week-day hours once a month. Participation in this workshop is required for new volunteers who would like to help deliver life-changing programs to some of our community’s most vulnerable members.

Volunteer Training will consist of an introduction to The Nature Connection and an overview of our program methodology. You will experience a sample nature program, including safe handling of natural materials and live therapy animals.
