
The Nature Connection is a non-profit organization that brings unique educational and therapeutic nature programs, including live animals, to people with limited access to the natural world. Founded in Concord in 1983, The Nature Connection connects vulnerable individuals with nature’s capacity to teach and to heal.
Serving the Middlesex County and Greater Boston area, The Nature Connection works with underserved individuals whose challenges include emotional trauma, mental illness, physical disabilities, and memory loss including Alzheimer’s. The Nature Connection delivers programs to special needs schools, psychiatric treatment centers, elder facilities, Alzheimer’s care programs, and urban after-school programs.
