We bring the healing power of nature to people with limited or no access to the outside world: at-risk youth; elders; and people with disabilities. Through regular programs combining seasonal natural materials, live animals, and hands-on activities, we connect individuals with nature’s capacity to heal, teach, and create joy.

Chris Salas
Program Volunteer
Chris has been a Nature Connection volunteer since 2009. She enjoys the one to one contact she has with program participants as she shares plants materials and our therapeutic animals with seniors at Cambridge Elder Services. She also volunteers her time with English language learners at English at Large. Chris is interested in health, nutrition and healthy eating and teaches part-time with Kids Cooking Green, helping young children experience cooking using locally grown foods. She lives in Arlington.
