Animals & Planet Club of CMS

Discover the Wildlife of Concord Middle School!

The Nature Connection is excited to partner with the Animals & Planet Club at Concord Middle School to explore the amazing wildlife that calls the school grounds home.

With the help of club members, two trail cameras generously funded by the Parent Teacher Group have been placed around the campus to capture photos and videos of local animals in action. As footage begins to roll in, we’ll be sharing it right here—giving you a glimpse into the lives of our wild neighbors!

Stay tuned to see what’s been roaming, hopping, flying, and foraging just outside the classroom.

6/01/25 5:00 am – Young Buck in the Morning Video

What do you notice in this video?
Take a moment to watch closely—what do you think is happening here?

Even without sound or words, you probably have some ideas. That’s because animal body language can tell us a lot. Look at the deer’s posture, movement, and the way it uses its ears or tail.

  • What might the deer be paying attention to?
  • Does it seem calm, curious, alert, or something else?
  • What clues give you that impression?

There’s no way for us to know the exact answer for sure—this is just a chance to slow down, observe carefully, and see what nature might be telling us.
